Speaking of the Kingdom of God

Matthew 13:33 (KJV)
Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Jesus used numerous parables to describe the Kingdom of God. And most of the times when he described the Kingdom of God, he used parables. (Matt. 13: 3)

We read in our Bibles, that the disciples asked Jesus why he spoke in Parables to the people (A great multitude – Matt. 13: 1.)—– We also read Jesus reply. — 11 … speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not;….and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. ……14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Citizens of the Kingdom of God don’t mandate nor make demands: they hear and obey: and there are qualifications in order to become citizens of the Kingdom of God. Repent and obey the Gospel!

WHY REPENT? “Bible”! – Romans 5: 12 — “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” Romans 3: 10 tells us there is none righteous. And we read elsewhere; Well; Romans 3: 23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. THAT’S WHY!

The Government of God is the only form of government that can make a promise and keep it. Earthly governments can promise protection, but can it always prevail?

Jesus also used the parable of the laven. “He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into” about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.” Matthew 13:33 (NIV2011).

We can compare the flour to the people and the yeast to the Gospel. The citizens of the Kingdom grow by the feeding of the Gospel.

The flour is powder that came from grain: the multitude that cannot be counted; and the Gospel is the Good News, God’s Law of the New Covenant, with guarantees.

In order to become citizens of the Kingdom of God there are two conditions to meet. Jesus said it! “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” (Mark 1: 15)

Then Jesus compared the Kingdom of God to a mustard seed. That in its time will give safety to its occupants (the birds- [you]) When the Kingdom of God come to its fullness, it’s citizens will safely be partakers of peace and happiness.

Revelation 21:4 (KJV)
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

What is a Kingdom? A kingdom is primarily a nation and the government that rules it, and it is composed of geographical boundaries, a government which rules, and subjects or citizens within the territory (boundaries) or jurisdiction.

It is important to differentiate that the earthly kingdoms or governments and the Kingdom of God. Earthly Kingdoms laws are influenced by politics, social status and standards, economics, traditions and religion. Laws are put in place by the demands of the citizens or subjects.

The Kingdom of God consists of people who are born into it by making solemn declaration of obedience, repentance, baptism and believing the Gospel. (Mark 1: 15) And there are no uploads of demands: only downloads.

The subjects or citizens of the Kingdom of God are not given citizenship by virtue of a birth certificate. But as Jesus told Nicodemus: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 (KJV)

The apostle Paul told the people of Corinth: Flesh and blood, that is; mortal human—cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. Today’s citizens of the Kingdom of God are born into the Kingdom by grace,> Tomorrow it shall be by resurrection.

Strange as it may sound, the Kingdom of God is like a family from a single parent grown into a nation. Being Elohim the only parent. — The Hebrew word Elohim because of its plurality; portrays God as a family of people. A single family or a Kingdom composed of more than one person.

When God created man it was with intents the “free will- man” to become part of his Kingdom or Family. The first Adam failed, and traditionally we have continued to blame him, but yet; even after the last Adam (1 Cor. 15: 45) came with the message of the Kingdom of God, most of mankind is still missing the mark, when it comes to God’s will and His initial intent. REMEMBER Jesus words in Matthew 13 : 14? “And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:”

In a marriage one (most likely the woman) is impregnated to procreate — Today it is openly and often said by the couple “we are pregnant”. – So I think it would be safe to say then, that when God created man in His own image, He did so, that man (Mankind) would become impregnated (Holy Spirit) begotten, and by a resurrection be born as an immortal, spirit – composed person in the Kingdom of God.

Some argue to be born already into the Kingdom. Well, yes, true, by FAITH. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; ….” Ephesians 2:8 (KJV) As we walk by faith (2 Corinthians 5: 7) based on those scriptures the claim of being saved or born again can be given some merit. But the authenticity of such will only come with the resurrection. — In John 5: 29, Jesus spoke of the resurrection of life, and the resurrection of damnation. —Then; in 1 Cor. 15: 52 – 53 we read — “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

But unless we remain loyal to the Kingdom our rebirth will not take place.

So what is the Kingdom of God?— The kingdom of God needs no further explanation than the ones Jesus gave us in Matthew chapter 13.

Let us continue to seek our personal category with that of the disciples to whom Jesus spoke to; saying, “… Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, …”
