Reginald Ray Farmer
Reginald Ray Farmer is a native Washingtonian. He received his primary education from Washington,D.C., and Prince Georges County Public Schools. Pastor Farmer has received his Bachelor of Theology degree with a concentration in Religious Studies.
He has completed classes for a second bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration inManagement. He is currently earning his master’s in ministry with a concentration in Pastoral Leadership from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He was an instructor at the Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary. He was an instructor for the National Capital Congress of Christian Education. He is an active member of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International where he serves as the Treasurer for Full Gospel DC State. He is the Moderator for the Potomac River BaptistAssociation. He is also grateful to have served as Chairman of the National Capital Commission Foundation for the National Capital Baptist Convention of Washington, DC, and Vicinity.
From 1989 to 1996, Pastor Farmer served in the DC Army National Guard and was honorably discharged. His Active-Duty military career spanned from 1996 to 2004. During his military service, God blessed andprotected him through two wars, Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom after which he was honorably discharged in August 2004. He is married to Karyn a praying woman of God. They have three children and four grandchildren. He is serving as the third Pastor of True Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church, Washington, DC. His favorite scripture is Second Corinthians 5:17. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away.
