Pastor Bio: Reverend William L. Robinson, a lifetime resident of Arkansas, is a graduate of the historical Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, a Graduate of Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Sciences and a graduate of Jackson Theological Seminary in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

At the age of twelve, Pastor Robinson was called into the Gospel Ministry and was licensed by Dr. T. M. Chambers, then Pastor of Gaines Street Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas. Reverend Robinson was ordained in 1979 at the age of 19 and by the age of twenty-one, became the youngest Minister elected to the Pastorate of First Baptist Church.  First Baptist Church at 811 Scipio A. Jones Drive in North Little Rock, Arkansas, will acknowledge his 37th year as Pastor on Sunday, July 21, 2019.  First Baptist Church celebrated the 144th Church Anniversary on Sunday, November 04, 2018.

Pastor Robinson was selected as an Outstanding Young Man in America and received an award as Outstanding Humanitarian from Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Because of his community involvement; he was chosen to give the Prayer of Dedication for the Inauguration of Governor Bill Clinton as the Governor of Arkansas, and the Prayer of Invocation at the Inauguration Services of Mike Beebe as the Governor of Arkansas. At the request of Governor Mike Beebe, Pastor Robinson offered the Invocation Prayer for the March of Dimes “Citizen of the Year” Dinner honoring the Governor. Pastor Robinson also honored the requests to pray the Invocation Prayer for the National Black Caucus at the State Legislators Convention and at the Opening Ceremony of the General Assembly at the State Capitol.

Because of his exemplary commitment to serve both spiritually and as a community leader, Pastor Robinson has received and honored many appointments by the Governors and Officials of Arkansas to serve. Some of the appointments consist of serving on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, the Board of Trustees of the William F. Laman Library Commission and as a Director on the Executive Board of the Union Rescue Mission and Salvation Army. Pastor Robinson was also a guest speaker at the Pentagon in Washington, D. C. He is an Honorary Major and Deputy Sheriff of Pulaski County; Chaplain of the North Little Rock Police/Sheriff Department, and a Master Mason.

Pastor William L. Robinson, a local radio personality for more than 40 years, is known for promoting one of the Outreach Ministries of First Baptist Church through the “Sunday Morning at “The First” Radio Broadcast. Pastor Robinson is known as the Visionarian of the “4” Church Fellowship Services coming together to uplift our Savior and the community through quarterly Worship Services. Pastor Robinson served as Co-Chairman of the Interfaith Christian Conference held in Arkansas known as “The Arkansas Gathering” that featured Nationally Renowned Pastors and over one-hundred local Pastors and their Churches for a Four-Day Spirit-Filled Gathering of all Denominations.

Pastor Robinson travels extensively over the country to win souls for Christ through his teaching and has also received numerous Certificates of Appreciation from community, city and state officials for his exemplary services as a community leader. Arkansas SAVES, an affiliation of UAMS Medical Center, continues to recognize Pastor Robinson as “A Survivor” at the Arkansas SAVES Strike Out, Stroke Night Arkansas Travelers Baseball Game, held each year at Dickey Stephen’s Ball Park in North Little Rock.

Pastor William L. Robinson, born on December 4, 1960, in Little Rock, Arkansas, is the proud sibling of one brother pastor C. B. Robinson and sister Toni Robinson.
